This Cooperative provides work, training and tools to women who were victims of violence, who are disadvantaged and in targeted placement, and aims at women's emancipation.
The social project arises from the need to implement concrete actions in favour of female empowerment. The cultural and work scenario, already unfavourable to many women, has drastically worsened because of the Covid pandemic and targeted and effective interventions are necessary. The offer of internships and job placements facilitates the economic autonomy of abused women and facilitate the restructuring of the life path, break the socio-cultural isolation in which they are confined by violence and rediscover themselves as active and valuable subjects.
The Impastarci Cooperative works in a network with various subjects dedicated to the defence of rights of women and men such as N.A.Ve (Anti-trafficking Network for Veneto: a unique and integrated system for the emergence and assistance of victims of trafficking and severe exploitation), and the S.I.L. (ASL 9 job placement service).
But it is not always enough to feel freer and stronger and to have a paid job, and the support that can be activated with the network of local social services is not always sufficient to guarantee coverage of all the expenses necessary to become autonomous. One of the main problems that arise, in fact, for women with greater economic difficulties is finding cheap accommodation close to the working environment, in order to start their new life and not waste all their resources. Impastarci is therefore setting up a new project that intends to expand support for women by also offering facilitated housing situations for female workers.
